GETTING TO NANTUCKET

Nantucket is located approx. 30 miles, out to sea off the coast of Massachusetts easily accessed by ferries, hi-speed ferry, slow boat, private boat or airplane. You can get to Hyannis, MA via car, public bus or train, where you connect to Nantucket Island via ferries.  This is also the traditional way of traveling to Nantucket. 

By Ferry from various ports:  Hyannis, MA to Nantucket:

Daily one and two-hour ferries for passengers and vehicles is provided by Steamship Authority from Hyannisport, MA. and arrives on Nantucket Island at the SteamBoat Wharf, a 3 minute walk to Main Street. Harwick Point, MA to Nantucket:

By Air:                                                                                                                     Daily direct flights from Boston, Providence, or Hyannis are provided by Island Airlines, Cape Air, Nantucket Airlines and others. JetBlue currently offers flights from New York.  JetBlue, USAirways, Delta, provide flights to Nantucket directly or through a connection. An easy way to get to Hyannis, MA from Boston airport is by public bus.  Plymouth-Brockton bus line provides daily departures and arrivals between Boston Logan Airport, or South Station in Boston, MA and Hyannis Trasportation Center in Hyannis, Massachusetts. A two hour scenic ride from the Boston-Logan airport into Hyannis Port, Cape Cod area in MA. Hyannis Transportation Center is located at 215 Iyannough Road, Hyannis, MA. From the Hyannis Transportation Center you can take a taxi or walk to the the ferries which provide service to Nantucket; Plymouth-Brockton Bus Line 508.746.0378;  508.775.5524

By Train:

You can get to Hyannis MA from Boston, MA by train in the summertime.  CapeFLYER train service from Buzzards Bay, Middleborough, Braintree, and South Station in Boston, Ma to Hyannis, MA. The Cape Cod train station is located at Hyannis Transportation Center 215 Iyannough Road, Hyannis, MA 02601. From the train you can head on to the ferries.
